Monster Buster Club - Season 1 Episode Guide

Season 1 (2007 - 2008) Episodes

Monster Buster Club premiered on October 29, 2007 on TF1 in France, June 2, 2008 in Jetix Europe, June 9, 2008 on Disney XD in United States and May 3, 2008 on Disney Channel Asia. In France, the show premiered on weekdays mornings except Wednesdays. In United States, the show premiered it's first five episodes for it's first weekday mornings until it's schedule replaced to Monday mornings. In Asia, the show was premiered during weekend afternoons.

Here are the following lists of episodes for season one of Monster Buster Club. Mostly, I followed the episode count from U.K. schedule but then again I also have to put episode numbers for U.S. and Asia schedules. For non-cable channel networks (like in the Philippines, where I've seen MBC on Q11 which is a local channel) might follow the original broadcast order. The format of episode numbers here goes something like this:

Note: The production numbers of MBC are based on US episode numbers. In France, the broadcast order sometimes switches to episode numbers.

Popular Kids
There's a new girl come to school. The MBC finds out that the girl is an Octovore. The group must find way to stop her before it's too late.

Episode 2 / 1
Mindreader
Cathy's cousin Elton Smith comes to Earth for a visit. Danny, Sam and Chris discover that Elton has an ability to read people's minds. However, the MBC finds out that Elton is the one who causes their annoyance and embarrassment. What they don't realize is that Elton came to visit because he is wanted by the Pincherbots.

Episode 3
Wrong Number
The Galactic Commander appoints Mr. Smith to make peace between two planets before they go to war. Mr. Smith is given a special communicator that looks like a cell phone. Later on, Chris took the communicator due to his curiosity and accidentally loses it when he bumps to Mark and their devices exchanged.

Episode 4
Snack Time
Cathy has a task to babysit a Tina, who is an Pythenor eater alien. At the same time, she needs her help to do a Bake Sale benefit for hungry whales with Danny and Chris so she asks Sam to help her babysit. With all the two jobs and confusion, Sam accidentally feeds Tina a Gluesock cracker, a food that makes Pythenor aliens go berserk and eats anything. Meanwhile, Danny and Chris are having trouble selling baked goods because of Mark, who has a better presentation to sell the goods faster.

Episode 5
The Trouble With Troublemaking
Cathy receives a detention after she argues with Mr. Fusster about the existence of aliens. The MBC finds out that the detention teacher, Mr. Gluten turns out to be a glue alien disguised as a human and escapes. Danny gives an idea on how to fight that alien, which Chris and Sam don't like.

Episode 6
Dog Daze
Wendy asks Danny to do a favor by taking care of her dog, Matisse, while she takes a weekend trip. To impress Wendy, Danny sends Matisse to a dog-training school. Danny doesn't know that Matisse is replaced by a robot dog that looks like it until until he noticed it's behavior. It's up to MBC to save Matisse and beat the robot dogs.

Episode 7 
Flower King
The MBC receives another mission from Galactic Commander - by protecting the Flower King named King Petalia XIII, until his ambassadors from his home planet arrive. However, the MBC seems to ignore it because they have something else to do. They don't notice that Petalia is kidnapped by Jeremy, who thought the king as an ordinary flower by mistake.

Episode 8
Battle Of The Bands
Some kids from Singletown like Danny, Wendy and Ralph starting to act weird by robbing items from different shops. Cathy, Chris and Sam finds out that those kids are the hypnotized victims during the recent concert performed by a band named "The Flying Dutchmen". The only thing to stand out that band is to join and become a band for the upcoming concert.

World's Toughest Kid
Several captured aliens accidentally freed after the MBC failed to send them to intergalactic authorities because Danny shows up late. Meanwhile, Cathy proposes herself, along with Sam's help, for a Student Council President while Danny is challenged by a new tough student named Brian.

Acting Out
Chris decides to be an intergalactic showbiz star while Cathy auditions for a school play. They never realize that they're attracting an alien lizard who is a talent manager.

Episode 11 / 13
Monster Beaters
John tries to convince MBC to allow him to join, but they didn't agree because he's too young. A new club named "Monster Beaters" appear in town and they welcomed John. Meanwhile, the principal forces the students to join different clubs.

Episode 12
Comic Book Heroes
Sam and Cathy are angry after they find out that there are few comic books about women. So Cathy decides to imitate one of the comic book heroines for advocacy. Meanwhile, a new boy appears at school, who is trying to hypnotize other kids, including Sam to store all of his comic book collections on Earth

Statue of Limitations
Many residents, including Sam are preparing for the celebration of foundation of Singletown. However, Cathy claims that it's founder, Addison Single is an alien inside the statue and his intention is to make a gathering place for aliens. Deep in the abandoned storage, Chris accidentally touched a gemstone and turns out that the statue is alive.

Episode 14 / 17
Pipe Dreams
The MBC network tunnels began to shake and the gang discovers that a road worker has caused it. The MBC finds out that the road worker's plan is to dig up for new sewers. Meanwhile, Mr. Fusster takes the class for sewer sightseeing. The MBC realize that the students will discover network tunnels connect to the sewers. Another problem is that the MBC finds out that one of the road workers is an alien, whose plans is to put the Singletown to underground using tunnels.

Episode 15 / 14
Aliens On The Fast Track
Many of the shop's tool and other machines from Singletown are missing, including Mr. Bitty's. Mr. Bitty suspects that his part-time employer Chris and his three other friends, who come for a visit, stole all of his items. Mr. Bitty told the four that they must bring the items back before 6 PM or else Chris will be in big trouble. So, the MBC decided to take part time jobs each in order to pay Mr. Bitty....while investigating whose alien is behind stealing electric devices.

Episode 16 / 11
Secret Santa
Many kids from Singletown are excited because Christmas is coming while Cathy is clueless why the people on Earth celebrate Christmas during winter season. Meanwhile, an alien named Dingle, who disguise as a Santa Claus plans to kidnap kids, including Sam to become toy makers.

Episode 17 / 15
The Bugaboos
A swarm of bugs attack the MBC after Danny captures their general. Meanwhile, Mr. Smith invites Principal Rollins for tea - an another trouble for MBC.

Episode 18
The Forget-Me-Stone
A beast alien named Glor Glenemore shows up in Mr. Smith's house and the MBC finds that alien until it escape. The next day, the Galactic Commander orders the MBC via transmission that the Forget-Me-Stone is a dangerous item that must return to the Galactic Authorities before Glor Glenemore gets it.

Episode 19 / 20
Camping Out
The power supply of MBC goes to minimum level and the gang doesn't know what to do when their gadgets are out of use. Mr. Smith invites the MBC to go hiking. He tells them that in order to make the clubhouse' power supply return to normal level, they must find a Mobato flower which only grows every four hundred years. While the gang and Mr. Smith goes to the mountains, a wild alien watches them.

Trick or Treat...Or Alien?
While Cathy, Sam and Chris go trick-or-treating, Mark challenges Danny to go haunted house alone. When Danny sees Wendy look at him, Danny impresses everyone that he is the first kid ever get inside the haunted house. Suddenly, the haunted house's door locked and Danny is stuck inside.

Episode 21
A Matter of Principals
Danny is picked to be a principal in a day, and he has a lot of ideas on how to improve the school. Meanwhile, a dinosaur-like alien shows up to ruin Danny's plan.

Sore Winner
The MBC finds out many strange symbols in the grounds of Singletown. Proskar, an alien whose interest is games shows up and tells the MBC that the Singletown is his game board called Parchugal. The MBC must play with him before he takes Singletown...

Beware Of Frogs
A mutated Earth frog comes to Earth to seek revenge on a chef who nearly cook him years ago. The cook turns out to be a substitute teacher of Mr. Fusster.

Episode 24 / 23
Outcraker's Badland Galaxy Tour
Cathy invites her favorite TV star to Earth named Outcraker. Outcraker, who has a show about dangerous stunts, tries to get a good footage by preparing special effects for the MBC. The MBC realizes that Outcraker's plans will come up disastrous results.

Episode 25 / 24
The End Of Everything (Part One)
The MBC's new mission is to teach alien newcomers about Earth, while Mr Smith goes to the Galactic Commander for a very important meeting. On the other hand, somebody is trying to sabotage the MBC by putting them in a trap. Meanwhile, Jeremy goes out for a date with Cathy and he gives her a strange gift.

The End Of Everything (Part Two)
The Galactic Commander and Mr. Smith put Cathy to their space ship because she is unable to transform back into human. Meanwhile, Elton returns to Earth to replace Cathy, much to Danny's dismay. Chris, on the other hand discovers and shows to his friends the reason behind all of their suspicion. They soon find out that the person behind all of the evil plans is none other than Nossida, Addison Single's son.

General Notes About The Show

General Notes for Season 1 and 2:

-  After the success of 2D animation shows like Totally Spies!, Martin Mystery, and Team Galaxy, Monster Buster Club is the first 3D animated series from Marathon Media Group.

- In French dub version, all of the episode titles are based on the rules or missions rather than the episode themes. For example, in US, the episode is "Popular Kids" while in France is "Règle 01 : Se méfier des majorettes". In translation, it means "Rule 01: Beware Of Cheerleaders".

- The main characters are four - Danny, Chris and Sam who are human beings while Cathy is an alien who disguises as a young girl.

-  All characters doesn't seem change their clothes except for specific things like Chris's bad-boy wear in the episode "Trouble With Troublemaking" and Cathy and Sam's Halloween costume in "Trick or Treat...or Alien?".

-  The Monster Buster Club is an "old-age" secret society founded many centuries ago on Earth. It still unknown whether humans, aliens or both races found that organization.

-  The club contains secret technology and advanced weapons to help defeat alien criminals from different galaxies. They also have secret underground tunnels. However, there none of any episodes on how the club got started.

-  Many human characters appear to be tall and thin except Mr. Pillsbury and Roy.

-  Many human characters, including aliens who uses human disguises (except the weather reporter in the episode "Cloudy With A Change Of Jellynerps" whose fingers have six) have five fingers on each hand and five toes on each foot.

-  The show setting is on a peaceful town called Singletown. That town was founded by Addison Single 200 years ago. Unknown to humans, Singletown is actually a meeting ground for aliens.

-  If you look closely to Danny's left eyebrow, you'll see a scar on him. The show doesn't reveal how he got that one.

-  Cathy and her grandpa Mr. Smith are aliens who come from planet Rhapdosia and they are called Rhapsodians. Rhapsodians are long-lived aliens who have a lot of extraordinary powers. They're also able to disguise as human beings or if possible, other alien species. Cathy usually uses her powers, mostly stretching abilities to help fight enemies or save her friends. Mr. Smith, on the other hand rarely uses his powers except in case of emergencies.

- Like Ben 10, Monster Buster Club has so-called "Monster of the day". Every episode, the MBC encounters many alien invaders and criminals (most of them uses human disguise to trick people) who are trying to destroy Singletown. At the end of episode, the MBC captures that alien.

-  Monster Buster Club's mission is to hunt down alien enemies, captures them and sends them to Galactic Authorities from other galaxy. The MBC has a set of rules to follow like not to kill aliens or never reveal the secret organization to human beings other than it's members. If any of the rules are violated, the Galactic Commander is the one who will disband the club and Cathy and Mr. Smith will be forced to return to their home planet.

-  Some of aliens appear in the show are based on specific themes like King Petalia XIII (flower), Pincherbots (robot), the Bugaboos (insects), and Herptilius (frog).

- All of the aliens featured on the show speak English other than their very own language.

- The weapons used by MBC are not meant to kill aliens but to push or stun them until they're become weak to capture.

- All of the aliens, whether enemies or not have their own reasons why they come to Singletown - from stealing machines up to destroying the town.

- All of the MBC members wear jackets but they dress in different style.

-  Danny, Cathy, Sam and Chris study at Singletown Middle School. There is a debate whether the kids are 10 or 12 years old. According to this official TV website here, the kids are 12-years old but on this official Marahon Media website here, the kids are said to be 10-years old. I've looked many websites about the education system between United States and France like this one here and here then compare their differences. It seems that in France and US, kids usually started to go middle school at the age of 11. So in this case, the MBC are 12 years old and likely to be in second year.

-  Even their weapons sometimes don't work well, the MBC uses their physical attacks like punching and kicking. Except Chris, who admits he can't fight well without weapons.

-  The four kids are surprisingly mature in their ages despite that they know how to get part-time jobs. Even their parents are never revealed in all episodes.

- The following of the MBC's classmates don't reveal their surnames in the whole show: Wendy, Mark, Ralph and Roy.

- The Singletown residents feature on the show, with the exception of Mr. Smith, don't reveal their first names.

- It's no wonder that the names like Danny, Cathy, Sam and Chris are just nicknames. Danny, Sam and Chris' real names are revealed. For Cathy, it is unknown whether it's just her nickname or her first name (though, some fans consider "Catherine" as her real name).

- Only two MBC members revealed their surnames: Cathy Smith (she shares that surname with her grandfather in the episode "Trouble in Troublemaking") and Danny Jackson, whose surname is called by Principal Rollins in the episode "A Matter Of Principals".

- In many episodes, Cathy mentions about the things what has in planet Rhapsodia like activities or weather. Sometimes, she has a lot of gadgets from her home planet so her friends could try them like Rhapsodian Puzzle Stick for Danny ("Trouble With Troublemaking") and Rhapsodian Funny-bone Refresher for Sam ("Me Krog, You Rollins").

- In Season 2 of MBC, some of the aliens featured on the previous season returns: grandma Octovore, Herptilius, Gluten, Speedy, Wedge, Gilbert, Doudo, and King Petalia XIII.

- It is implied that Monster Buster Club deals with the aliens, not monsters.

General Notes About The Shows Opening

- Cathy narrates the opening sequence. Every episode, she says:

      "Hi! My name is Cathy. My grandpa and I came from planet Rhapsodia to power up an age-old  secret society. With my new friends, our mission is to battle troublemaking aliens around Singletown. We are... the Monster Buster Club!"

- In the pre-production opening sequence (which can be found in this link), there are slightly difference in narration. Cathy states that:

 "Hi! My name is Cathy. My grandpa and I came from planet Rhapsodia to power up an age-old secret society. With my new friends Danny, Sam and Chris, our mission is to battle troublemaking aliens around Singletown. We are... the Monster Buster Club!"

- In the opening, Cathy and Mr. Smith crash landed to Earth while Cathy introduces herself and told the audience that they came from planet Rhapsodia to form a group.

- Danny, Sam and Chris goes out to school. Sam pointed out that there's an asteroid nearly fall down in Singletown. Cathy continues to explain that she met her three friends who also become members. Danny, Sam and Chris rush to the clubhouse while Cathy and Mr. Smith showed up from their spaceship.

-  Cathy, Danny, Sam and Chris went to the clubhouse immediately. A mysterious insignia appeared from their clubhouse door. The four formed a circle then a light shows up from their steps. Cathy raised her left arm and showed her V-Com. The four kids transformed with their special suits.

- The next scene shows Danny watching a huge monitor. Then, the kids are ready to fight while the shadowed monsters are behind to them. The kids ran away getting ready for battle. While in that scene, Cathy tells the audience that their mission is to hunt down trouble-making aliens in Singletown. At the end of Cathy's speech, she tells that they are the Monster Buster Club.

- In the next scene reveals the Monster Buster Club members: Chris - who dives up from pile of books and found out what he wanted to read while his background is the MBC clubhouse. Sam - laughing while in her background is in Singletown park. Danny - gets excited and suddenly faints when he find Wendy at the back while his background is in Singletown Middle School. Last one is Cathy - who do dance a little and suddenly she stretch her legs up when a basketball shoots in front of her.

- The four kids are in the clubhouse - Sam sits in a couch reading, Chris sits in a couch too while using laptop, Danny sits in small sofa while his feet is on the table and Cathy standing and smiling while looking at the camera. Danny, Chris and Sam looks in front to the camera and smile, too

- Another scene is in Singletown Middle School classroom and Mr. Fusster shows up. Cathy raised her left hand (probably answering Mr. Fusster's question) and suddenly her V-Com alarmed. Her friends' V-Com alarmed too and the four rush out in the middle of the class. While running, they didn't notice Principal Rollins while the principal looks them at the back. The four went inside their school lockers and closed them simultaneously.

- The four Monster Buster Club's space pods appeared and flew out. Danny and Sam run to the shadowed monsters. The four kids showed their weapons and shoot the alien enemies. With a blast, the monsters disintegrated. Danny and Chris captured them using their Vacuvators.

- In the final scene, in the clubhouse Cathy, Sam, Chris and Danny are there. Cathy raised her right arm, Sam looked at the boys, while Chris and Danny make a high five. Sam and Chris went back to the clubhouse first while Cathy continues to raise her right arm. Danny, on the other hand makes a peace sign. Danny and Cathy went back to the clubhouse. Cathy closes the door and the Monster Buster Club title logo appeared. The insignia of MBC rolled out on the left and you'll hear the sound of an electric guitar goes down.

Main Characters - The MBC Members

Monster Buster Club or MBC is a secret organization that was created centuries ago. Their mission is to protect the innocent lives against alien invaders. In that club, they have various weapons to beat and capture aliens and they have secret headquarters which contain advanced technology. In this show, the story tells about the three young heroes, together with an alien girl have task to protect Singletown from alien enemies. While the MBC members hunt down aliens, they also deal their interpersonal relationships like crushes, bullies, and friendships.

Cathy may look like a typical young Earthling, but she's actually hundred years older than any human kids! She's an alien who comes from planet Rhapsodia. She came to Earth with Mr. Smith to form a new Monster Buster Club. As a Rhapsodian, Cathy has a lot of superpowers that can be used in certain situations. She usually use her stretching ability to rescue her friends.

In her human form, Cathy has blond hair with two pigtails, blue eyes and wears a pink pants, and pink sleeve shirt covered with green jacket. She is cheerful, optimistic and energetic who likes to discover many things on Earth. She's also the one who knows a lot of alien species and their habitat but sometimes she's clueless on how to deal with them. In her alien form, she has pink spots over her body, four tentacle arms, two tentacle legs, stubby ears and head, and fox-like tail.

- She has a large appetite and likes to eat sweets, which perhaps is the explanation why Cathy is hyper.

Sam is a dark-skinned girl who is a rational member and has a strong personality. She has brown hair and hazel eyes. She wears a (sleeveless?) shirt covered with yellow jacket, and white pants. Since she's the serious member in the group, she usually the one who comes up with plans on how to capture aliens. Sometimes, she can get bossy at times and seems like she's the leader of the group, although the MBC is forbidden to have a leader. Due to her personality, her friends think she's a dull person. Deep inside, Sam has a softer side and concerns her friends' safety. It is unknown why she joined the MBC.

-  She hates detention.
-  She joined the karate club.

Chris is the technology expert of the group. He has indigo hair (but intended as black) and dark blue eyes. He wears a blue - green sleeve shirt covered with blue green jacket, blue pants, and has dark skin. He's also smart guy who likes computers and books. He doesn't like physical activities that doesn't involve with gadgets or his intellect. He's a member of computer club along with Jeremy. He also has a younger brother named John. It's unknown why Chris joined the MBC, though the latter is implied that he gets fascinated with the club's advanced technology.

Some things are known in Chris:

- He has an obsession at video games and gets excited whenever he tries latest ones.

- He's usually the one who hold's MBC tracking devices such as the A-Scanner.

- He shows to be an artistic.
- He reveals that he won the Science Fair three times in a row
- Contrast to Cathy's acting because of curiosity, Chris likes to be famous on TV.
- He hates (and afraid) to get detention.

Likes - Science, Math, gadgets, computers, video games

Dislikes - living without technology, camping, detention, big aliens

Name: Daniel Jackson
Nickname: Danny, The Danny (as he often call it himself whenever he accomplished something), Danny Wanny
Age: 12 years old 
Occupation: Student, member of Monster Buster Club, part - time lawn mower operator
MBC Suit Color: Red

Danny is a jock-type who likes sports, making jokes and not as bright as he wanted to be. Deep down, he's really a nice guy at heart. He has brown hair and green eyes. He wears purple jacket and orange pants. He has a scar on his left eyebrow which it never revealed how he got that one (perhaps because of trying a dangerous sport before or a childhood injury).

He's a kind of member who acts first before thinking. He also likes to crack jokes to his friends as well as aliens. He's an athletic kind of person and skilled at skateboarding. Sometimes, he can get uncoordinated with his skills though. He has a crush on Wendy, who doesn't seem to have at least a little interest on him. Danny claims that he's one of the popular kids at school and to avoid losing that status, he faces some challenges given from the other kids just to prove that he's "The Danny". Probably being more popular and proving himself more worthy are the reasons why he joins the MBC.

Some things are known to Danny:
- It's surprisingly that there are few things between him and Cathy have in common: they both have large appetites and gets into trouble at school.
- He joins the ice hockey club.
- According to him, he always invited many sorts of parties. 
- Unlike his friends, Danny is a bit of troublemaker.
- His only secret is that he has a purple teddy bear named Mr. Fluffyboots.
- He seems to be resourceful. He used a mind-boggling puzzle game to knock out an enemy.

Other Characters - Singletown Residents and MBC Allies

Hugo Smith

Mr Smith (as the kids and the residents often called him), is Cathy's grandfather and only relative who came with her on Earth to form a new Monster Buster Club. Unlike his granddaughter, Mr. Smith rarely uses any of his extraordinary powers. He doesn't assist the MBC much but he's the first person to call whenever the MBC needs his help for making Rhapsodian antidotes and other intergalactic herbal medicines. He has an easy-going and relaxed attitude. His hobbies are gardening, taking tea and playing cards with his exotic plants.

His alien form is similar to a mollusk. His body color is dark blue - green with four limbs. To find more about him, check out his information here.

John

John is Chris' younger brother and one of the few people who knows about the MBC. He's in charge in using the MBC clubhouse's technology whenever Chris is busy on the mission. John really wanted to join MBC but the four, especially Chris thinks he's too young. Sometimes, he impresses the MBC by helping defeat monsters or creating his own gadgets which makes them useful or backfire to MBC.

Wendy

Wendy is a pretty but snobbish girl and one of the popular students at the school. She makes fun of Danny, Sam, Cathy and Chris. She is Danny's crush but she doesn't really care about him. Sometimes, she uses Danny to do favors (while Danny impresses her just to be accepted). She also likes to gossip and tries to get the latest scoop.

Mark

Mark is the richest kid in Singletown and he's proud of it. He is Danny's main rival who makes challenges about different activities especially when it comes to school. Because Mark is rich, he uses his parent's money to take advantage succeeding or make friends. Sometimes, he tries to get close to the students who are popular or tough just to make sure that "he's in the crowd". He also has a crush on Wendy.

Jeremy Flablotnick

Jeremy is Chris' acquaintance in computer club and another classmate of MBC. His interests are gadgets, video games and comics. He is in love with Cathy, while she sees him as a friend only. He often bothers the MBC in the middle of the mission just to find Cathy.

Ralph Bernie and Roy

Ralph (red - haired kid) and Roy (purple haired, plump body) are friends who make trouble together in public places like in school and park. They like skateboarding and ride their electric scooters as well. They're also Mark's friends who assist bullying Danny. They're just another MBC's classmates.

Mr. Fusster

Mr. Fusster is Singletown Middle School Science teacher. He doesn't believe that aliens exist which is why Cathy argues with him. He has a white car and a skeleton model named Mr. Bones. What the MBC doesn't know, especially Cathy, that Mr. Fusster is aware that aliens do exist. He's the number one reason why Cathy gets in trouble at school.

Principal Rollins

Ms. Rollins is the Singletown Middle School principal who thinks the students are soldiers while the school is their military ground. She always add with the words like "Company halt!" and really strict with the students when it comes to rules. She's also one of the people who bothers the MBC's missions. She's a driver who owns a yellow car. It's unconfirmed whether Ms. Rollins got at least affection with any of her previous bachelors. There is only one person who gets her into soft spot - Mr. Smith.

Elton Smith

Elton is Cathy's Rhapsodian cousin and Mr. Smith's grandson. While Cathy is good using stretching abilities, Elton's specialty is mind-reading. He's able to read minds of humans and aliens. However, he likes to blurt something to embarrass someone or to amuse himself. The MBC gets annoyed at him whenever he does that. He's also a substitute member of MBC. His MBC suit is green.

At the back of his head, Elton has a green leaf sticking on it. According to Cathy, Elton's alien form is weird looking but he retorts that it is not. His detailed information can be found here.

Mr. Bitty

Mr. Bitty is a gruff person who is the store owner called "Happy Mart". He sells power tools (though Cathy says the MBC doesn't really need to buy his power tools, anyway), food, magazines and snacks. He gets angry whenever he finds out that the kids are making trouble or steal items in his shop.

Matisse

Matisse is the only dog of Wendy. He resembles a weird looking chihuahua with big ears, big head, and small body. Here's a trivia: Matisse is named after Henri Matisse, a French painter who revolutionized modern art in the 20th century along with Picasso and Duchamp.

Mr. Pillsbury

Mr. Pillsbury is the coach, P.E. teacher and temporary art teacher in Singletown Middle School. Aside from those occupation, he's also a janitor.

Mr. Bernie

Mr. Bernie, or "Bargain Bernie" (as he call it himself to his customers often) is a car salesman and Ralph's father. Chris says that Ralph gets a unique sense of fashion from his dad. He only appears in two episodes. Oh yeah, his favorite car in his shop is Lamborghini XT.

Grandmother

A grandmother who likes to relax and wander around Singletown. In one episode, she was used as a human disguise by a purple Octovore.


Mentioned Characters
They aren't appeared in all episodes, but they are part of character's hidden story.

• Byron - Cathy mentioned him in few episodes like "Beware Of Frogs" and "Sore Winner". He is Cathy's uncle. According to her, she used to help Byron to cook many Rhapsodian specialties and he often sends her Apple flies when they're in season. Sometimes, he and Cathy went to planet Gunyatto for ice cream treats every Tuesdays, Thursdays and twice on Fridays. It is suggested that Byron is a chef in Rhapsodia.
• Gleeb - Mentioned in the episode "Bubble Heads" only. According to Cathy, her uncle Gleeb is said to be the a famous investigative journalist in Rhapsodia. She idolizes him that's why she joins the school journalism club. He never let up missing a story and he usually gathers information by "grilling" (not the actual definition) until they become Tikiblinkers.
• Zirium - Mentioned in the episode "Dog Daze" only. She is Cathy's aunt. She and Cathy shares the same allergy to pets and it started in Rhapsodia-7, 250 years ago in Rhapsodian scale. It is suggested that Cathy's allergy is hereditary.
• Cousin in Lobknock - Mentioned in the episode "Frogs In Space" only. The unnamed person is Cathy's other cousin. According to Mr. Smith, that person triggered the Rhapsodian Binasal Absorbia in planet Lobknock. It still doesn't imply whether Cathy's cousin is male or female.
• Danny's Uncle - Mentioned in the episode "Secret Santa".  Before Danny, Chris and Cathy go to Bargain Bernie's automobile shop, Danny reveals that he spent his vacation time with his uncle working on cars.

The Rhapsodian Tourist's Introduction

My name's Rhapsodian Tourist and I'm a Filipino in almost twenties. Before I created this fanblog, I first encountered Monster Buster Club a few weeks ago (around last week of September I think) on Q Channel 11 Philippines in Tagalog-dub. When I saw the trailer, at first I thought it was tad boring CG-animated series. But then by chance, Monster Buster Club airs on weekday afternoons. Then, I watched a MBC episode entitled "Dog Daze" because of my curiosity. Later on, I got fascinated not just that episode but the designs and concepts of the show. I saw eye-candy colors and smooth CG-animation . Then, I suddenly got interested following the rest of it's episodes even this time.

Monster Buster Club's main character's are young heroes and heroines who have a secret task to protect their town against alien invaders. They got lot's of cool gadgets to capture alien enemies and send them to prison in other galaxy. It's sorta like a mix of sci-fi's Men in Black and Ghostbusters series. By that time our computer is repaired (though it's still slow right now) and got internet connection, I got interested finding more about the Monster Buster Club through the web. I first checked the episode guides then the fandoms like fanfiction and fanart. Being a fan of MBC urges me to create a site to share more things about the show to the other people. Another reason why created a fansite is because fansites of cartoons from Marathon Media Group are few like Woohp.org and Team Galaxy Fan Club. Finally, I decided to create a fansite from Marathon's another show to support the company as well as the fans. So, this fanblog The Monster Buster Club Resources was created...

Maybe you're wondering why I chose the name The Rhapsodian Tourist, right? Well, it's because I got intrigued with the MBC member named Cathy Smith and her Rhapsodian heritage she mentioned sometimes. So, why not I added the word "tourist" for unique name like a stranger to Earth.

Hello there, thank you for visiting this site.

The Monster Buster Club Resources first opened to the public on October 25, 2010, with a lot of effort from the blogger and webmaster, The Rhapsodian Tourist (Yup, that's me!). Since I'm not good at creating websites and finding web hosts to post them, I used Blogger to take opportunity to create this. This content contains character information, episode guides, pictures and much more!

I never expected that this place will get at least 1,000 visitors every month. I'm so glad about that and I'm trying my best to put up a lot of show's information as well as updates.

I started getting into online fandom since few years back and I found out that "fan sites" are great things to start up with. I got really inspired to the people who created fan sites from various cartoon and anime shows. Since I love Monster Buster Club, I took a chance to share my interest to other MBC fans and other people. A lot of people are starting to appreciate a show and I'm sure many people will get hooked in Monster Buster Club. And so, the Monster Buster Club Resources has and will continue to grow.

This fan site is still proud to be part of MBC fan sites available in the 'net. I couldn't make this site if it wasn't your help and support!

12/16/10 - I decided to arrange this site's navigation and added the Merchandise section. I also included the Avatar and Icons page but right now it's still under construction.

12/12/10 - If you're wondering why there are lot of changes in this site, that's because I have to arrange them to make sure anybody who visits this site see the texts especially in this section, the News Updates. There are pages that I added, deleted or edited some information such as the episode guides and pictures. The disclaimer of this site is now on the bottom (Just like any fansites, they put their disclaimers on bottom). Good news is that I complete the MBC A-Database section, but I still have to figure out the unnamed aliens in some episodes of the show.
